The Access Providers Association Fulfills an Important Duty

Dr. Sayan pointed out that the protection of children and young people has particularly gained importance due to the spread of internet crimes committed on the internet along with harmful contents found online. Sayan added that due to coordination duties stemming from the Access Providers Association’s regulations, by notifying content and providers of decisions for access denial, they are doing productive and useful work to ensure that content is removed from broadcast. Sayan stated that up until today with the work they have carried out in this field, they believe the relations they have established will continue to strengthen.

With APA – ICTA Collaborations Allow for Industry Cooperation

Sayan stated that in line with the development strategies determined in order to reach the targets of our country in 2023, everyone has been given responsibilities. Sayan added, “Our institution which acts with this consciousness and sense of responsibility, all internet service providers authorized by the Law numbered 565, and other operators providing internet access services must be members of APA. Within the framework of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) Service, some of the entities that are authorized by the operators have been organized regarding the membership of the APA. Accordingly, the ISP must be members of the APA or otherwise their authorization is terminated. Currently there are 244 APA members according to the current member list sent by APA to ICTA, and there aren’t any non-member ISP. It is proof that this unity and partnership has been established and that we are all working together for our country.”
