Türksat met with Kosovans in Prishtina for the first two days of Ramadan. Participating in the iftar organization traditionally organized by Eyüp Sultan Foundation every year, Türksat experienced iftar rejoice with approximately two thousand attendees in the giant iftar tents established.

Turkish Kosovan, Albanian and Bosnian Muslims came together for the first iftar of Ramadan and filled up the iftar tent, after the Qur'an recitation and call of prayer broke their fast together.

Turkish ambassador to Prishtina Kıvılcım Kılıç, Türksat CEO Cenk Şen, Türksat Vice President Metin Çavuşoğlu, representatives from Turkey and Kosovo attended the Ramadan dinner.

Türksat CEO Cenk Şen, gave a speech for the occasion of the dinner, he said:

 “As Türksat we are all experiencing the excitement of sharing our bread with our brothers here in Kosovo. We think that during this month, which is the sultan of the eleven months, it is even more important to share during these days when our spirituality is so high. We are proud to share our bread with our Kosovan brothers for about eight years now.”

Turkey's ambassador to Prishtina, Kıvılcım Kılıç, who broke her fast in the tent, said that during the entire Ramadan, they planned to meet with Kosovan friends at Ramadan tables to strengthen friendship and solidarity. Reminding that Ramadan is the month when the best examples of help within society, solidarity and traditions are exhibited, Ambassador Kılıç said:

“Whether it be our municipalities, associations or foundations in Turkey, they come here and exhibit the best examples of this solidarity tradition. At these tables, we share our food and water all together. We display a wonderful form of friendship. Beyond that, from here we are actually reflecting the spirit of Ramadan to the whole world. We give the message of brotherhood, friendship here.”

Eyüp Sultan Foundation Board Member and Balkan Coordinator, İskender Yanovalı reminded everyone that as Eyüp Sultan Foundation they have established tents in three different regions of Kosovo for the past ten years and said “We are very happy to share our bread with our brothers there.”

That night, the martyrs of July 15th were also remembered and prayers were said.
