UK’s Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox stated that the British government would financially support the agreement signed between Airbus and Türksat in order to provide Türksat with two communication satellites and one ground station.

Secretary Fox, who addressed the English Parliament said, “UK Export Finance will support Airbus Defense and Space’s contract worth approximately $500 million (388 million pounds) for the manufacture and delivery of two satellites and one ground station to Türksat.”

As Türksat CEO Cenk Şen stated before, the satellites are planned to be used for in the development of television and broadband data services to certain regions in Turkey, Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Airbus which is an aerospace and space company, continues its operations with its partnerships in Germany, France, Spain, England and the Netherlands.
